DESCRIPTION OF THE REGATTA COURSE

The regatta course at Castrelo de Miño was constructed on the river Miño in 2001, just before a lock and hydro- electric plant that it is nearby. The extension to eight lanes and the start platform was completed in 2022. Since 2001, national rowing regattas as the Spanish Rowing Championships have taken place here regularly. In this venue was previously organized an international regatta, the Ribeiro International Regatta. The Organizing Committee expects that this Coupe de la Jeunesse edition will be the first of future international regattas organized in Castrelo in the next few years.
